Excerpt:
“One of the men building the Lucky Peak Dam to control raging flood waters of this river in Idaho found he could make important savings in fabricating the tunnel liners he had contracted to supply in his shop 8 miles from the damsite. But how could these huge sections of pipe 23 feet in diameter and 40 feet long be delivered 8 miles away? An engineer made some calculations and then and there ‘Highpockets’ was born, a mammoth transport with a truck tractor in front and a steering boogie in the rear. In use ‘Highpockets’ was simply backed into a completed section of tunnel liner, its ribs expanded, and the load was on its way.”

This is a 71 yr. old original vintage ad removed from a 1953 publication and not a reproduction of any kind.
