This 1928 vintage ad for Vernay of New York and London sellers of Old English furniture, silver, porcelain, pottery & glassware has a photo of a Chippendale mirror with the caption, “A Chippendale, carved wood and gilt mirror of distinctive design, the tip flanked on either side by carved birds. 1760-1765.
