Description
This 1936 vintage ad for National Carbon Company’s Eveready Batteries has an art illustration of a flashlight illuminating a child kneeling and praying by his bedside as a small dog looks on from the bed.
Year Published: 1936
Approximate overall size – inches: 11 x 14
Grade: Good – some ink smudges (from printing process?) Still a quite nice and touching ad.
Excerpt:
“AND SO TO BED
Tonight millions of Eveready flashlights will dissolve the terrors that lurk in the dark…a toy-strewn floor, a scooter on the back steps, a tire to change by the roadside, medicine to find for the sick. We like to think the World will sleep the sounder because Eveready is by its bedside.”
This is a 88 yr. old original vintage ad removed from a 1936 publication and is not a reproduction of any kind.
