Excellent print condition of celebrated engineer turned fashion artist Rene Bouet-Willaumez (1900-1979). Rene was born in France to an aristocratic family and initially pursued a career in engineering then an art career. Rene worked with Vogue Magazine from 1929 until the early 1950s creating spectacular ink illustrations of fashion exhibits including London, Paris and New York. His ingenious “RBW” monogram can be seen in the lower right corner of the print which features a tantalizing white satin dress.
